Grace

My dog
Grcae
has every
personality
exept grace.
She rolls
but ends up
as a squirm
on her back.
Then lying there
wit her tongue
placed perfectly
at the corner
of her mouth.
Her eyes
make you smile
lined up perfectly
with her floppy
brown ears.

Poem about poems

Poems,
a simple thing
we never sit and think
about poems
but about things
romantic
to the mind.
like Hawaii?
Alps?
mountainous ranges?
rolling waves?
Reading a poem
can bring you
to these wonderful places.
In your mind
skiing
down the
black diamond,
sunbathing,
hiking up a cliff.
Now which is it?
A travel guide
or a poem?
A tear
dribbles down
 my red cheek.
From laughter
like a moving sun beam
moving around
my brothers
and i
huddled around
the monopoly board.
The dollars build up
buying property
and selling it
for a cause
just to get me back
my brothers
laugh
a real laugh
only one
heard from the heart.
After a long hard game
I go up
and cry real tears
knowing that
he will be gone
for collage
next year.
and then my other brother the next
then who
will i play with?
laugh with?
fight with?
who is almost my age?

Alone

Everybody is gone
exept
for me
and my thoughts.
I lock the door
with a smirk
creasing my face.
I walk into the kitchen.
The feeling
of cold tile
creeps up my leg.
I look out the small
window
beside
the tempting fridge.
The crisp
wind
pounds on the door
as if a
unseen person
breaking in.
My dog
sits on my cramping feet
slowly colapsing onto her back.
The dryer starts shaking
loke it always does
but this time it sent me
running to the phone
and halfway
dialing my dads
number.
The front door creeps open.
My heart rises.
There home.

Halloween

Strange
characters amble
across the lawn
littered in
candy wrappers.
Trees
weave
through the dark
tripping
the occasional
kid
who dares
go into the forest alone.
clouds coat the
eerie moon
like a mask
over a ghost.

autumn night

Moonlight shadows
squeeze through
the woods.
the wind combs
through the trees
pacifying the forest.
Autumn leaves dance
in the wind
to what seem
to be
a soft nocturne
Stars blanket the sky
as if
silver fish scales.
Skittering
of unseen
animals
weaves through the trees.
Church bells ring midnight
I go in
